Gatwick has apologised to passengers whose flights were disrupted by a fault to its check-in baggage system yesterday.
The problem in the North Terminal, which affected mainly easyJet services, caused some passengers to miss their flights.
Others faced long delays and some flights left without some passengers’ checked in luggage.
Gatwick said yesterday afternoon that it was in the process of reconciling customers with the missed bags.
“A number of flights left without luggage as a result of this morning’s fault, however these bags are currently being repatriated and will be returned to passengers as soon as possible,” it said.
“Gatwick would like to apologise to any passengers who have been inconvenienced as a result of this issue.”
